Two Muslims owned shops in the Siyambalagaskotuwa & Katupotha town in the Kurunegala district were burnt down

Two shops belonging to a Muslim man in the Siyambalagaskotuwa – Katupotha town in the Kurunegala district were burnt down last night by unidentified men. A fire-stall and a stall containing benzi lumber have been completely burnt. Both shops are owned by a Muslim. The shop owner AHM Sibai said the damage to the building and the goods was about Rs 75 lakhs. The Katupotha police are carrying out investigations and state chemical analysis officers are conducting investigations. The incident occurred at about 8.45pm on Monday. These two shops in Katupotha are owned by Muslims only.
